Analytical computer calculations in problems with random division of an interval

Abstract

The novelty and originality of the presented studies consists of the fact that the rigorous mathematical proof of one of relationships that describe the probability of an error-free reading of random discrete images contained in them was previously found by the authors using specially created programs for computer analytical calculations.

Aleksandr L’vovich Reznik was born in 1948 and graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1969. He has been a Candidate of Technical Sciences since 1981 and a Doctor of Technical Sciences since 2006. He is the Head of the Laboratory at the Institute of Automatics and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His scientific interests include analytical and numerical methods for solving complex probabilistic problems using computing machinery. He is the author of 82 scientific published works.

Vitalii Maksimovich Efimov was born in 1933 and graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1957. He has been a Candidate of Technical Sciences since 1964 and a Leading Researcher of the Institute of Automatics and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His scientific interests include the quantization, signal sampling, and the processing and compression of digital information. He is the author of 122 scientific published works.

Andrei Vladislavovich Torgov was born in 1959 and graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1983. He is a Researcher at the Institute of Automatics and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His scientific interests are image processing and digital filtering. He is the coauthor of 28 scientific published works.

Aleksandr Anatol’evich Solov’ev was born in 1980 and graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 2002. He is a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Automatics and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His scientific interests are image processing and mathematical statistics. He is the coauthor of eight scientific published works.
