Abstract

The microstructure and phase composition of amorphous electrodeposited Ni-W and Ni-Co-W films are studied using transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and differential thermal analysis. The thermal stability of the amorphous films is shown to depend on their chemical composition and network microstructure. The temperatures of the onset of crystallization and the sequence of phase transformations during transition to an equilibrium crystalline state are determined.
