Abstract

An automated setup for studying the anisotropy of the Gruneisen parameter of solids in the temperature range 77–350 K using the photoacoustic technique is described. The serviceability of the setup was tested at low (77–300 K) and high (300–350 K) temperatures on strontium titanate and triglycine sulphate single crystals, respectively.
