Abstract

Crystallochemical analysis of skutterudite-type structures in the BX 3, AB 4 X 12, and AB3 B 4O12 compositions (A and B are metals; X = P, As, Sb) has been performed. Probable regions of structure formation are determined, thereby indicating that more than 270 new compounds of the AB 4 X 12 composition can be synthesized.
