Numerical Solution of the Equation of Electron Transport in Matter

  • Published:
High Temperature Aims and scope

Abstract

A numerical method is suggested for solving the equation of transport of fast electrons in matter in plane and spherical geometry, with due regard for the fluctuations of energy loss and for the formation of secondary electrons. It is demonstrated that the calculation results are in good agreement with experimental data. A comparison is made between the suggested method and the method of moments.
