Abstract
This paper reports on the results of calculating the standard impact factor K for the journal Fizika i Khimiya Stekla (Glass Physics and Chemistry) in comparison with the standard impact factor for other Russian journals. Modern methods for evaluating the effectiveness and scientific popularity of periodical editions are discussed. It is demonstrated that glasses are nanostructured condensed materials formed from medium-range order nanofragments. This determines the urgency of the “glass subject matter” and the high rating of the journal Fizika i Khimiya Stekla (Glass Physics and Chemistry).
