Energy upconversion and spectroscopic studies of ZBLAN:Er3+

Abstract

A detailed spectroscopic investigation of ZBLAN:Er3+ sample was performed. Infrared to green, red to blue and blue to ultraviolet energy upconversion studies in this material were also performed. When the material was pumped with a 637 nm dye laser upconversion signals at 402 nm, whose efficiency is ~0.04%, were detected. Intensity parameters, transition probabilities, lifetimes and quantum efficiencies are also obtained.
