The effect of ion-beam nitriding on the structure, phase composition and tribotechnical properties of a gasothermal coating from martensitic wire steel 40Kh13 deposited by the method of hypersonic sputtering is studied. The results obtained are used to choose the temperature modes for ion-beam nitriding of coatings to provide high tribotechnical and strength properties in the latter.
