Statistical estimation of measured quantities from strongly discretized observations with unknown scale parameter of the random component

  • Published:
Measurement Techniques Aims and scope

The problem of selecting the best statistical estimate of strongly discretized observations is considered for the practical case of an unknown scale parameter of the random component. A method of estimation of measured quantities in conjunction with an unknown scale parameter of the random component that makes it possible to decrease the estimation error by comparison with traditional estimates is proposed.
