Honoring Dr. Margaret Lock

In this, the last number (4) of volume 36 (2012) of Culture, Medicine, and Psychiatry, CMP is pleased to provide the reader with concluding elements of the yearlong celebration of the work of Dr. Margaret Lock. In the following article, the reader will find a list of the major awards Dr. Lock has received. The enumeration of these awards is followed by a bibliography of Dr. Lock’s book length publications. That bibliography is followed by a list of Dr. Lock’s articles and chapters that she regards as her most significant. These works all clearly evidence the very great breadth and depth of Dr. Lock’s work on critical topical and theoretic issues of Medical Anthropology over the last 30 years. In the article that follows Les Travaux, there is a short essay, “L’Avenir,” that Dr. Lock has written for us, which reflects her view of Medical Anthropology in the present and going forward.
