Abstract

The launcher of ECRH system is exposed to the strong electromagnetic environment because of toroidal and poloidal magnets. When plasma current quenches with exponential decay, the electromagnetic disruption analysis of mirror in launcher is performed in this paper for an example. The distribution of magnetic field on the mirror, induced current density, force and torque are computed by MAXWELL software. When body force density resulting from electromagnetic analysis of MAXWELL software is imported into ANSYS software, the structure stress and deformation of mirror are analyzed. From the analysis result, the maximum stress on the mirror is small and deformation is slight. The mirror operates under the strong electromagnetic environment safely.
