Abstract

One coordination polymer [Pb(ctpt)2(aic)·3H2O]n (1) [ctpt = 2-(4-Chloro-phenyl)-1H-1,3,7,8-tetraaza-cyclopenta[l]phenanthrene, aic = 5-Amino-isophthalic carboxylate] has been synthesized by hydrothermal reaction system and characterized by elemental analysis, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, infrared spectrum and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 crystallizes with an N-donor chelating ligand and an aromatic dicarboxylate linker. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals that 1 exhibits one-dimensional (1D) chain structure, and N–H···O hydrogen bonds lead the 1D chain structure to 2D layer framework. TG analysis shows clear courses of weight loss, which corresponds to the decomposition of different ligands. The photoluminescence properties of the coordination polymer have also been investigated.
