Abstract

The spatially homogeneous and totally anisotropic Bianchi type-II cosmological solutions of massive strings have been investigated in the presence as well as absence of the magnetic field in the framework of Brans-Dicke theory of gravitation formulated by Brans-Dicke (Phys. Rev. 124, 925, 1961). The energy conditions of the models have been examined. With the help of Takabayasis equation of state some exact solutions of this model have been obtained. The physical and kinematical behaviors of the models have also been discussed.
