Three Flavor Neutrino Mixing in Matter by Perturbation Approach

Abstract

We consider the matter effect on three flavor neutrino mixing. We write an analytical description of neutrino mixing angle in matter based on the perturbation approach. The matter effect is ignored for reactor neutrino analysis because the path length is very small. Matter effect play important role in propagation of neutrino. We estimate the effect of matter on neutrino mixing angle θ 12 and θ 13 by perturbation approach. We find that, higher energy region, mixing angle θ 12 and θ 13 are more effective by matter effects. We consider neutrino passing through constant density.
