3-Aminopropyl-triethoxysilane Functionalized Graphene Oxide: A Highly Efficient and Recyclable Catalyst for Knoevenagel Condensation

Abstract

A solid base catalyst has been prepared by covalent functionalization of graphene oxide with 3-aminopropyl-triethoxysilane. The catalyst exhibits a superior catalytic performance in Knoevenagel condensation (over 90 % yield and at least seven times reusability), and is applicable to a wide range of substrates.
