Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Aims and scope

The schematic diagram of a two-stage hybrid piston power machine with liquid piston in the second stage, which maintains gas compression up to pressures of 10 MPa, is presented. On the basis of the equations of conservation of flow and energy, a method for he calculation of compression and discharge processes is developed. Analytical expressions are obtained for determining the flow rates of the liquid in the second stageand in the gas cap as well as the fluid pressures at characteristic points of the system. Certification of the new technique is performed and the working processes that take place in the hydraulic part of a two-stage hybrid piston power machine are analyzed.
