Résumé

Le caroubier (Ceratonia siliqua L.) est un arbre appartenant à la famille des Fabacées. Originaire du Moyen-Orient, il se caractérise par une importance écologique, industrielle et ornementale. Cette fabacée est connue par ses vertus médicinales et thérapeutiques, très intéressantes vu les activités pharmacologiques des composés phytochimiques présents dans les extraits biologiques de la plante.

Abstract

Ceratonia siliqua L. is a tree belonging to the family of Fabaceae. From the Middle East, the carob is an important ecologically industrial and ornamental tree. This fabaceae is known for its medicinal and therapeutic virtues such as the pharmacological activities of the phytochemical compounds founded in the biological extracts of the plant.
