Résumé

L’oignon est particulièrement indiqué pour le patient pléthorique bouffi ou oedémateux, dyspeptique, diabétique, prostatique. Il exerce une activité anti-inflammatoire, antiallergique, et contribue à prévenir certains cancers. Son activité antiseptique et anticatarrhale le rend utile en cas de rhume. Son activité antiagrégante plaquettaire semble insuffisante in vivo. Il est aussi neuroprotecteur et freine l’activité ostéoclastique. On conseille de manger trois à six oignons par jour (30 à 50 g), de préférence crus.

Abstract

Onions are specifically recommended for plethoric, bloated or oedematous, dyspeptic, diabetic or prostate patients. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic properties, and helps to prevent certain types of cancer. Its antiseptic and anti-catarrhal properties are useful for fighting colds. Its platelet aggregation inhibition properties appear to be inadequate in vivo. It is also a neuroprotector and slows down osteoclastic activity. It is recommended that 3 to 6 onions (30 to 50 g) should be eaten per day, preferably raw.
