Abstract
Introduction
Sarcomatoid carcinoma is an uncommon tumor of the larynx, representing less than 1% of all malignancies in this location. It is a tumor characterized by two components, epithelial and mesenchymal.
Case report
A 73-year-old woman, without disease history, presented with an anterior cervical mass that had developed over three months with associated dysphonia and multiple cervical lymphadenopathy. Laryngoscopy revealed a burgeoning, ulcerative laryngeal tumor measuring 10 × 4.7 cm. Isotopic and radiological examinations showed flooding of the thyroid gland. Histological examination of the surgical specimen and an immunohistochemical study resulted in a diagnosis of sarcomatoid laryngeal carcinoma.
Discussion
Sarcomatoid carcinomaof the larynx is a rare biphasic malignant tumor, and its diagnosis relies on histological and immunohistochemical examination. Its histogenesis remains controversial. Considered good prognosis, low grade tumor localised in glottic site. The treatment involves surgery or radiotherapy.

Introduction
Le carcinome sarcomatoïde est une tumeur inhabituelle du larynx représentant moins de 1 % des tumeurs malignes dans cette localisation. Il s’agit d’une tumeur marquée par unedouble composante, épithéliale et mésenchymateuse.
Observation
Une patiente de 73 ans sans antécédents pathologiques particuliers, présentait depuis troismois une tuméfaction cervicale antérieure associée à une dysphonie et à demultiples adénopathies cervicales. La laryngoscopie objectivait une tumeur laryngée ulcérobourgeonnante de 10 × 4,7 cm. Les examens radiologiques et isotopiques montraient un envahissement de la glande thyroïde. L’examen histologique de la pièce opératoire et l’étude immunohistochimique concluaient à un carcinome sarcomatoïde laryngé.
Discussion
Le carcinome sarcomatoïde du larynx est une tumeur maligne biphasique très rare dont le diagnostic repose sur l’examen histologique et immunohistochimique. Son histogenèse demeure controversée. Considérées de bon pronostic, les tumeurs de bas grade de localisation glottique. Le traitement associe une chirurgieà une radiothérapie.
