At first, we would like to thank and congratulate Dr. Algin for his great letter and his interest in this topic. Predicting the success of a ventriculostomy has been widely discussed. Our study focused on the intraoperative assessment almost exclusively. However, it is essential to continue the postsurgical evaluation and evaluate new tools as those proposed. Our study aims to be the basis of future studies, in which a multivariate analysis was performed, and the importance of each factor is determined in the prediction of success for this is essential to continue providing ideas and evaluating the results critically.
