Zusammenfassung

Für eine erfolgreiche Psychotherapie ist eine gute therapeutische Beziehung von zentraler Bedeutung. Deren angemessen breite Operationalisierung ist im deutschsprachigen Raum noch verbesserungswürdig. Es wird ein neues, für verschiedene therapeutische Orientierungen geeignetes Verfahren zur Messung der therapeutischen Beziehung aus Patientensicht vorgestellt, das neuere empirische Befunde in einen umfassenden theoretischen Rahmen integriert und dabei methodische Schwächen bisheriger deutschsprachiger Fragebogen korrigiert. Das Inventar zur therapeutischen Beziehung (ITB) wurde an einer Stichprobe von 44 Therapeuten und 519 ambulanten, stationären und tagesklinischen Patienten entwickelt. Das ITB weist eine sehr gute Reliabilität auf (interne Konsistenz und Retestreliabilität). Erste Belege zur konvergenten, divergenten und differenziellen Validität sowie zu Zusammenhängen mit Therapieeffekten liegen vor. Das ITB ist ein ökonomisches Messinstrument, das im Gegensatz zu anderen Verfahren einen Generalfaktor erfasst, der in mehreren konfirmatorischen und exploratorischen Faktorenanalysen repliziert werden konnte.

Abstract

A successful psychotherapy requires a good therapeutic relationship. An adequate operationalization by German diagnostic instruments has to be improved. A new instrument for measuring the therapeutic relationship from the patient’s perspective is presented. It is suitable for various therapeutic orientations, integrates current empirical findings in a broad theoretical framework and corrects methodological deficits of the existing German questionnaires. The therapeutic relationship questionnaire (ITB) was developed with a sample of 44 therapists and 519 inpatient, outpatient and day clinic patients. The ITB findings confirm a very good reliability (internal consistency and retesting reliability). There is initial evidence for convergent, divergent and differential validity and for associations with therapy effects. The ITB is an economic instrument that in contrast to other questionnaires measures a general factor which could be replicated in several confirmatory and exploratory factor analyses.
