Makulaforamen durch Smartphone-gesteuerte Fernzündung eines Feuerwerkskörpers

Zusammenfassung

Ein 22 Jahre alter Mann wurde am Silvesterabend in unserer Notaufnahme behandelt. Nach einer Feuerwerkskörperexplosion in der Nähe seines linken Auges zeigten sich Verletzungen an Lid, Konjunktiva und Hornhaut. In der Funduskopie wurde eine Commotio retinae in der temporalen Peripherie und zentral am hinteren Pol gesehen. In der optischen Kohärenztomographie (OCT) wurde ein Makulaforamen diagnostiziert. Die topische Behandlung beinhaltete Tobramycin-, Fluorometholon- und befeuchtende Augentropfen. Der bestkorrigierte Visus verbesserte sich von 0,2 auf 0,8 innerhalb von 3 Monaten, und das Follow-up-OCT zeigte einen spontanen Verschluss des Makulaforamens.

Abstract

A 22-year-old man presented to the emergency room on New Years Eve after a firecracker had exploded next to his left eye. Besides injuries to the eyelid, conjunctival and corneal trauma, a commotio retinae at the temporal periphery and the central retina were revealed funduscopically. A small full macular hole was detected by spectral domain optical coherence tomography scan (OCT). After topical treatment with tobramycin, fluorometholone and lubrication eye drops the best-corrected vision improved from 0.2 to 0.8 within 3 months and the follow-up OCT revealed a spontaneous closure of the macular hole.
