Abstract

A 1.91 μm-pumped, injection-seeded 2,118 nm Q-switched Ho:YAlO3 laser was demonstrated in this paper. Single-frequency and nearly transform-limited operation of Q-switched Ho:YAlO3 laser was achieved by injection-seeded. The single-frequency Q-switched Ho:YAlO3 laser output energy of 8 mJ at 100 Hz with a pulse width of 151 ns was obtained. The half-width of pulse spectrum measured by a heterodyne technique was 3.7 MHz.
