Zusammenfassung
Hintergrund
Abstract
Background
Malfunctions of the craniomandibular system influence the motor control of humans and vice versa, malpositioning of the postural and musculoskeletal systems has an influence on the craniomandibular system.
Methods
This is the second article in a series that includes a systematic overview of the studies carried out by this group of authors. In the first part the influence of the descending sequence of functions was presented and this second part deals with the effects of the ascending sequence of functions.
Results
Correlations between the motor control of posture and movement and the position of the jaws were detectable along the caudocranial sequence functions. In patients with pathologically damaged structures a protection mechanism of this region is present.
