Zusammenfassung

Das Granuloma pyogenicum (syn. Granuloma teleangiectaticum) ist eine meist nach Traumen bzw. lokalen Irritationen oder spontan entstehende gutartige, exophytisch wachsende Gefäßproliferation. Im Mundbereich tritt das Granuloma pyogenicum in 75 % der Fälle im Gingivabereich auf. Therapie der Wahl ist die Exzision des Granuloma pyogenicum. Rezidive nach Exzision werden beschrieben. In unserem Fallbeispiel zeigte sich nach Exzision ein komplikationsloser und unauffälliger Verlauf.

Abstract

Pyogenic granuloma is regarded as a vascular proliferation that may result from trauma or local irritation. The most common intraoral site is the gingiva, affected in 75 % of cases. Therapy of pyogenic granuloma consists of surgical excision. Recurrence after excision may occur. In our patient, there were no post-operative complications.
