Achieving a glazed automatic transmission with the shift strategy assistant

Abstract

In the Shift Strategy Assistant, AFT Atlas Fahrzeugtechnik GmbH has developed a calibration assistant, which proved a cornerstone for the development success of the drive strategy for the double clutch transmission from Volkswagen. Through this new type of calibration strategy, which enables the integration of other powertrain components and the topology, the drive behaviour of the first mass production double clutch transmission was proven a success with a significantly lower calibration effort and an exceptionally high increase in quality.
