Primary dysmenorrhoea due to unilateral haematotrachelos

Summary

A case is reported of severe dysmenorrhoea in a woman aged 20 years. She had unilateral haematotrachelos and ipsilateral renal agenesis. Dysmenorrhoea was relieved by removal of the affected uterus and subsequently the patient conceived.

The clinical features and treatment of unilateral atresia of the cervix are discussed.
