New cyperaceae from Nepal and Adjoining Tibet

Abstract

Described as new areCarex hemineuros of the affinity ofC. jaluensis, Carex himalaica of the affinity ofC. circinata, Kobresia williamsii of the section Kobresia,Scirpus subbisetosus as an ally ofS. lineolatus, and a new subspeciesCaex dispalata subsp.laxiflorens. The author has come across these new entities while preparing a taxonomic treatment of the Cyperaceae for the Flora of Nepal Project of the Anglo-Japanese Cooperative Scientific Program.
