Anwendung einer offenen GC/MS-Kopplung mit Glaskapillarsäulen

Summary

Glass capillary columns are directly coupled by means of a Pt−Ir capillary to a single focussing mass spectrometer. Measuring conditions similar to those in a gas-chromatographic detector system, are possible, so that GC and GC/MS-results can be duplicated. The advantages of the arrangement are illustrated using n-alkanes, acetylated fatty alcohols and lavandin oil as examples.

Zusammenfassung

Glaskapillarsäulen werden in offener Anordnung mit einer Pt−Ir-Kapillare als Verbindung an ein einfach fokussieren-des Massenspek trometer gekoppelt. Es werden Meßbedingungen wie in einem Gas-Chromatographen mit Detektor-system erreicht, so daß GC und GC/MS-Resultate duplizierbar werden. Mit Messungen von n-Alkanen, acetylierten Fettalkoholen und von Lavandinöl werden die Vorteile der instrumentellen Anordnung verdeutlicht.
