Primary systemic amyloidosis simulating acute idiopathic ulcerative colitis

Summary

An unusual case of primary systemic amyloidosis which simulated acute ulcerative colitis is reported. Some interesting blood findings in the patient and his siblings are presented which suggest that the case was a familial one.
