The disappearance of leaf litter under different woodland conditions

Summary

A method is described by which quantitative studies can be made on the course of disappearance of leaf litter under woodland conditions. The litter samples are placed in the field in nylon hairnets. Results are given for a variety of litters placed on different soils.
