Credibility and conditioning

Abstract

This paper studies the problem of conditioning for credibility functions, also called “belief functions”; A. P. Dempster has already dealt with this subject, but a different point of view is suggested here. The paper ends with an application allowing one to compare the results achieved by both methods.
