Biomedical Engineering Aims and scope

Conclusions

1. The effect of the main parameters of air sterilizers on the temperature and time regime of sterilization was investigated. Calculated dependences of the heating time, temperature difference in the working chamber, and productivity of the GPD-1300 sterilizer on the power of the heating elements and consumption of the sterilizing agent were obtained.

2. The rational values of the power of the heat sources and consumption of the sterilizing agent providing maximum productivity of the GPD-1300 air sterilizer with consideration of technological and design limitations were established.

3. The region of the values of the thermal power and consumption of the sterilizing agent for which it is possible to use the existing methods and systems controlling the sterilization process was established.

4. It was shown that the method of controlling the process (calling for regulation of the temperature of the flow of sterilizing agent as a function of the value of the mismatch signal of the current and prescribed value of the temperature of the flow at the inlet of the sterilizer and determination of the initial moment of sterilization holding as a function of the value of the mismatch signal of the prescribed and current value of the temperature of the flow of the sterilization agent at the outlet of the sterilizer) does not require limitations on the main parameters of air sterilizers and makes it possible to provide maximum productivity of the apparatus with complete sterility of the medical articles.
