Additional information

I am indebted to Prof. Bruhn (Berlin) who discussed with me during the winter semester 1969–70 some topics in the Adhyāsa-Bhā\(\underset{\raise0.3em\hbox{$\smash{\scriptscriptstyle\cdot}$}}{s}\)ya of Śa\(\underset{\raise0.3em\hbox{$\smash{\scriptscriptstyle\cdot}$}}{m}\)kara. I reproduce here this article with some changes made in its original script, which emerged out of our discussion, and was wirtten down in 1970.
