Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff Stabilisierung wird im Kontext von gewaltsamen Konflikten regelmäßig von VertreterInnen der Bundesregierung verwendet, ohne dass Einigkeit über dessen genaue Bedeutung besteht. Angesichts der zahlreichen aktuellen Krisen und der Gründung einer Abteilung im Auswärtigen Amt mit dezidiertem Fokus auf Stabilisierung wird die Frage nach einer Definition dieses Begriffs hochrelevant. Der Aufsatz schlägt eine ressortgemeinsame Definition des Begriffs Stabilisierung vor und begründet diese.
Abstract
In the context of violent conflict the term stabilisation is frequently used by representatives of the German Federal Government. Yet, there is no consensus regarding its exact meaning. Given the numerous current crises and the recent formation of a stabilisation division in the Federal Foreign Office, the question of a definition of this term becomes highly relevant. This paper proposes a cross-ministerial definition of the term stabilisation and substantiates it.
