Abstract

Epidemiologic and experimental data are presented that suggest the involvement of the hepatitis C virus in the pathogenesis of some histotypes of B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, in particular immunocytoma, marginal zone lymphoma, and diffuse large cell lymphoma. Clinical presentation, including association with cryoglobulinemic syndrome, is described and therapeutic options are discussed.
