Abstract

We report a highly unusual case of post traumatic completely embedded ring through a 2 mm of wound. Patient came to us 1 week after the injury complaining of foreign body sensation in finger without any neurovascular symptoms. Only 2 mm of wound with granulation tissue was present on the proximal phalanx of the middle finger. Ring was cut and removed through the same wound. Wound healed with full functions of the finger on further follow up. To the best of our knowledge this the first case report of post traumatic completely embedded ring.
