High average power generation in barium nitrate Raman laser

Abstract

The generation of low divergent (M2≤1.5) first and third Stokes radiation in a barium nitrate Raman laser with average powers of 11 W and 5 W, respectively, was demonstrated. The quantum conversion efficiency was up to 21%. The possibility of thermal lens compensation in such Raman lasers was shown.
