Abstract.

Let c be an element of the Weyl algebra https://static-content.springer.com/image/art%3A10.1007%2Fs00208-004-0604-4/MediaObjects/s00208-004-0604-4flb1.gif which is given by a strictly positive operator in the Schrödinger representation. It is shown that, under some conditions, there exist certain elements b1,...,bd from https://static-content.springer.com/image/art%3A10.1007%2Fs00208-004-0604-4/MediaObjects/s00208-004-0604-4flb1.gif such that ∑dj=1bjcb*j is a finite sum of squares.
