Abstract

The staphylinidStenus comma secretes from its pygidial defensive glands at least four compounds which could be characterized as 1,8-cineole, 6-methylhept-5-en-2-one, isopiperitenol, and N-ethyl-3-(2-methylbutyl)piperidine.
