Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reactions of BCl3 in CCHCl3 with MNO3 (M=K, Rb, Cs, (CH3)4N, (C2H5)4N, (C4H9)4N) proceed slowly at 20° and are accompanied by decomposition of the NO3ion. The degree of decomposition increases with increase in the size of the cation.

     
  2. 2.

    It was established that M[Cl3BONO2] and M[B(ONO2)4] are formed as intermediate compounds; one of the intermediate products (C2H5)4N[B(ONO2)4] was isolated and identified. The final solid reaction products contain MBCl4.
