Summary

Nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization of a variety of sorghum DMS 652, highly susceptible to downy mildew, incited bySclerospora sorghi and a hybrid CSH-1 tolerant to this disease was studied under field conditions. Both DMS 652 and CSH-1 showed a significant increase in susceptibility when phosphorus was increased. Increase in nitrogen did not have any influence on the expression of the disease.
