Conclusions

  1. 1.

    In this work we have determined and for the first time put down systematically the basic knowledge on the most important characteristics of nickel powders produced under production conditions by various methods.

  2. 2.

    We have established the influence of the granular characteristics and the specific surface of powders on their pressability and sinterability.

  3. 3.

    We have shown the possibility and as a first approach found the conditions for producing sintered parts of specified final porosity from all forms of nickel carbonyl powders produced by industry.

  4. 4.

    We have shown that the content of carbon and gases in sintered nickel carbonyl does not exceed the standard for electrolytic nickel.
