Curriculum vitae. Tage Hjort, born 1928, graduated in 1954 from the University of Copenhagen. After clinical training he became research associate at the Institute of Medical Microbiology, University of Aarhus in 1959. In 1964–1965 Helen Hay Whitney research fellow, Department of Bacteriology and Immunology, State University of New York at Buffalo. Since 1965 associate professor in immunology at the Institute of Medical Microbiology, University of Aarhus. The main topic of research has been autoimmunity, now for several years concentrated on auto- and isoimmunity to sperm. Since 1975 in charge of the WHO Reference Bank for Reproductive Immunology. Thesis: University of Aarhus 1963 on autoimmunity in thyroid diseases.
Curriculum vitae. Lars Linnet, born 1950, graduated from the University of Aarhus 1978. Already before graduation he had started studies on auto-immunity to sperm in vasectomized men and after graduation he has continued these studies as research assistant at the Institute of Medical Microbiology, University of Aarhus.
Curriculum vitae. Niels E. Skakkebæk, born 1936, graduated in 1965 from the University of Copenhagen. Clinical training at gynaecological and pediatric departments in Copenhagen and at Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Edinburgh (1974–1975). 1973 consultant at the fertility clinic and reproductive biology lab., Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen. His scientific interest has been endocrinology, in particular endocrinological problems associated with the testis. Thesis 1974: Quantitative studies of the germinal epithelium in the human testis. These studies led to the discovery of carcinoma-in-situ of the testis which has since been the main topic of his research.
