Abstract

Failure to thrive is frequently reported in children with AIDS. The records of 55 children with AIDS were reviewed. At some point in their illness, 25 of these children presented with dysphagia that contributed to their failure to thrive. The various etiologies of the dysphagia are presented and treatment strategies are discussed.
