Abstract
If there is no definite relationship between the elastic moduli B and G separately and the Grüneisen parameter γ, a measure of anharmonicity, the ratio B/G turns out to be an unambiguous function of γ. The nature of the linear correlation between (B/G) and γ is discussed.
