Hardly a day goes by somebody doesn’t take a belt at the Russians…That’s why they are valuable. Nobody can find fault with you if you take after the Russians…those Russians got quite a lot to carry. Man has a fight with his wife, he belts the Russians. Maybe everyone needs Russians. I’ll bet even in Russia they need Russians. Maybe they call it Americans.

Abstract

Russian–U.S. relations deteriorate day by day. The search of “positive agenda” in the current situation is impossible. But history proves that détente talks had started in the period of most serious confrontation in the 1970s. Similar public diplomacy tools should be implemented in order to harmonize relations, strengthen trust and mutual understanding between the two countries. The search and implementation of these initiatives seems to be very timely.
