Efficient synthesis of novel Pyrroloquinoline derivatives

Abstract

The zwitterion derived from quinoline and dialkylacetylenedicarboxylates on reaction with C–H acids such as: dialkylchloromalonates, and 3-chloro acetyl acetone afforded pyrroloquinoline derivatives in moderate yields (44–55 %).
