Abstract

Diaphragmatic lacerations may be due to blunt or penetrating injury. Penetrating injury is usually missed during acute phase because of small size and herniation of abdominal viscera through defect after several weeks. Here we report an unusual case of diaphragmatic and colonic injury due to stab wound. The injured abdominal viscera herniated through diaphragmatic laceration within a week.
