Remote Sensing of the Snow cover in the millimeter-Wavelength Range

  • Published:
Radiophysics and Quantum Electronics Aims and scope

We present the results of development of a multifrequency method for passive remote sensing of the snow cover using spectral features of the downward atmospheric radiation in the millimeter-wavelength range. A description of the automated tri-band spectroradiometer realizing this method is provided. Preliminary results of test measurements of the snow cover parameters by means of the tri-band spectroradiometer are discussed.
